MovoNote is a local-first note-taking app. We respect your privacy and aim to minimize data collection. This Privacy Policy explains how MovoNote handles your information.
MovoNote does not sell your note content and does not use your note content for advertising or third-party behavioral tracking.

The domestic Android version does not currently provide Google Drive cloud sync. Google Drive cloud sync may be available in Google Play Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, or other versions that support this feature, depending on what is actually shown in the app.

We do not sell your note content to third parties. We do not use information obtained from Google Drive for advertising, third-party profiling, or purposes unrelated to user-facing features.
Your notes are stored locally on your device by default. Unless you choose to use device-to-device sync or Google Drive cloud sync, MovoNote does not send your notes to other devices or to the cloud.
Uninstalling the app, clearing app data, or deleting notes in the app may remove locally stored data. Please make sure you have backed up any data you need before performing these actions.
MovoNote supports syncing between trusted devices on the same local network. The sync process uses authenticated discovery, request IDs, nonces, HMAC, X25519, HKDF, AES-GCM, and related mechanisms to establish an encrypted connection.
During sync, your note data is transmitted only between the devices you choose or trust. We do not relay, read, or store this local network sync content on our own servers.
In versions that support Google Drive cloud sync, you may authorize your Google account to sync, back up, or restore note data to your Google Drive. This feature is used only after you choose to enable it and complete Google authorization.
To provide this feature, the app may request the necessary Google Drive permissions to create, read, upload, download, update, or delete MovoNote sync data. We aim to request the minimum scope required for the feature. If Google Drive app data storage is used, the app accesses only the data space related to MovoNote sync.
Google Drive cloud sync data is stored in the Google Drive account that you authorize. Google Drive is provided by Google, and Google’s processing of data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. You can view Google’s Privacy Policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
We do not upload your note content to our own servers as part of Google Drive cloud sync. We do not sell information obtained from Google APIs, use it for advertising, use it to train models for non-user-facing purposes, or transfer it to unrelated third parties.
MovoNote’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can view the policy at: https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy
You can disconnect Google Drive in the app, and you can also revoke MovoNote’s access in your Google account’s third-party app access settings. After authorization is revoked, the app will no longer be able to access your Google Drive sync data. Google Drive may be unavailable in some countries or regions, and actual availability depends on Google services, your account status, and your network environment.
The app requests camera permission only to scan QR codes for device pairing or sync confirmation. We do not save, upload, or analyze your camera feed.
The app may request local network access to discover devices on the same local network and establish device-to-device sync connections. This permission is not used to access personal data on internet servers.
This Google Play Android distribution provides optional remote notifications. Remote notifications are disabled by default on first installation. We enable notification services only after you actively choose to enable notifications in the App and complete the operating system’s notification authorization flow.
To deliver notifications, this distribution may use Firebase Cloud Messaging provided by Google. The service may process the following information related to notification delivery:
This information is used only to deliver notifications to your device, maintain notification subscriptions, handle delivery failures, and protect service security and compatibility. It is not used to read, analyze, sell, or target advertising based on your note content.
After you enable notifications, Version Updates and Important Product and Service Messages are available by default. You may disable either category at any time in Settings → Notifications. Product News, Promotions and Offers are disabled by default and are subscribed to only if you actively enable that category.
The current version does not separately upload an FCM Token to an operator-operated application server. We also do not intentionally include note text, note titles, search terms, folder names, attachment content, or local database content in notifications.

When you turn off a notification category, the App stops future subscriptions for that category. Processing of a service provider’s own technical records is governed by that provider’s privacy policy.

The current version does not integrate third-party advertising tracking SDKs. Operating systems, app stores, Google Drive, Google Sign-In, or other third-party services that the app relies on may process data according to their respective privacy policies.

We use local storage, system secure storage, authorized access, and encrypted transmission to protect your data. However, no software or network transmission can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. Please protect your device, system account, Google account, and device unlock password.
Google Drive cloud sync depends on the security of your Google account. Please manage your Google account password, two-step verification, and third-party app access carefully.
MovoNote is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the contact information in this policy.

Policy updates will not change our commitments not to sell note content or use third-party advertising tracking unless we separately explain the change and obtain any required consent.
